St. Clair College's Esports Program is spreading some much-needed holiday cheer during exam season.
'Winter WonderLAN' is an annually run event happening at the Esports Nexus at St. Clair College on December 6, 2025. The event hopes to bridge the gap between competitive gamers and the greater Windsor-Essex community.

Jesse Amos wants to go pro – that is, as a professional gamer.
"I've got some amazing coaches here who are teaching me how to play them better, how you can make money off of them," Amos said.
Gaming, robotics, cosplay and cards will all be offered under one roof later this month at the second annual 'The Summoning' Collectors and Esports Convention at St. Clair College.
It was another award-winning year for the Saints Esports program at the Annual National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) awards, where St. Clair College took home three honours among several finalist nominations.

St. Clair College has long been a hub for hosting Collegiate Esports events but is branching into the professional arena this week by hosting 'Fragadelphia 19' – a premiere professional Esports production, featuring competition of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
For the second straight year, St. Clair College's Call of Duty Esports team has won the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) Spring North American Championship.
St. Clair College has made history by winning its first-ever Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) Championship, the first time a Canadian school has taken the title.
The Saints entered the CRL Spring Championship's Top 8 playoffs as the number one seed this past weekend where they took on the best programs in North America.
When Shaun Byrne first pitched a collegiate esports program at St. Clair College back in 2016, he wasn't sure how viable it would be at the Canadian College level.
"I imagined it was possible, but I didn't imagine that we'd be leading the charge," said St. Clair College Esports Director, Shaun Byrne.
