Led by Indigenous staff, the Centre provides cultural programming such as one‑on‑one and group crafts and activities, access to Traditional Medicines for smudging, and opportunities for appointments with an Indigenous Counsellor or Elder.
Students have access to language resources, peer support, life coaching, assistance with scholarship applications, community presentations, and referrals to additional College and community services when needed. Celebrating Indigenous Heritage
Our Indigenous Learner Advisor and Counsellor work closely with students and staff to create a vibrant, supportive community through a wide range of social and cultural activities on and off campus. They partner with First Nations and Indigenous organizations to host meaningful events throughout the year, including the annual Student and Alumni Pow Wow, and community gatherings that honour important days such as Orange Shirt Day and Indigenous Peoples Day.
In addition to these large events, the team offers traditional teachings, craft nights, socials, and visits from guest speakers - creating many opportunities for connection, learning, and cultural celebration.
More than just participants, students are invited to take an active role in planning and volunteering at events, sharing their stories, strengths, and cultural knowledge with the broader community. This collaborative spirit helps build a space where students feel valued, empowered, and deeply connected to one another.
