Safewalk
Safe Walk is a free program available to the students and staff of St. Clair College and made possible by SRC’s student volunteers. Simply request a walk by dialling the phone number listed below and a team of Safe Walk volunteers will escort you where you need to go on campus!

St. Clair College and ALERTAWARE MOBILE APP
AlertAware offers a mobile phone app for enhanced mobile notification between St. Clair College Security and students and staff. The AlertAware App allows users to not only receive push notifications but also to quickly send geo-tagged incident reports to St. Clair College Security via the panic button feature and in addition have two-way messaging capabilities between the user and security.
Alertus Desktop™ Notification will still be available to desktop PC users and grabs the attention of your computer immediately with a full-screen (or optional partial screen) pop-up alert. When an emergency occurs and a notification is sent by security, a full-screen alert will appear on all or select PCs and Macs across our facilities. Alertus Desktop Notification can be activated through the Alertus Activation Software by authorized users.
ALERTAWARE MOBILE APP INSTALLATION
The process to install the app is very quick and simple and should only take about 30 seconds.
The AlertAware Mobile app can be downloaded from the Google Play store or the iOS App Store. The following QR codes can be used for both Android and iOS mobile users.
Step 1) Use the QR code below to download and install the AlertAware Mobile App from the Apple or Google Play Store. Once downloaded, open the AlertAware Mobile App.
Step 2) Select “Allow” as prompted on your device to accept push notifications to your phone from the AlertAware Mobile app.
Step 3) Slide the screen to show the apps features: Push Notifications, Public Safety Number, Geo-tagged Incident Reporting and User Profile. Select “Done”.
Step 4) On the app sign in page, under Sign in with SSO, click on the “Sign In With Your Organization” link.
Step 5) Enter your college email address and press “Search”.
Step 6) Under the Organization Code. Click on the “St Clair College” tab.
Step 7) Click on the Sign in to your account link “saml”
Step 8) After a redirect occurs, click on Sign in to your Mystclair account and sign in using your school account information. Once signed in with your account you will be directed to the AlertAware app home page.
Step 9) New users may not have this option. Test the app set-up by selecting the tab “Test push notification functionality”
Step 10) Test the Push Notification by pressing “Send Test Alert”. Your device should receive a push notification from AlertAware verifying the set up. Use the back arrow to return to the home page.
Step 11) The setup is complete. You will now receive emergency notifications on your phone. You can also request assistance and report an emergency by selecting “Report Emergency” or “Report Incident” from the AlertAware Dashboard.
