It was a day of fitness, family and fun as hundreds of people came out for the Start Here Go Anywhere 4 km Run and Walk event at St. Clair College on April 13, 2025.

The event is hosted annually by students in the Sport and Recreation Management program at Windsor Main Campus.

The race started at the entrance of the SportsPlex and proceeded along the west side of campus, past the College's neighbours at The Village at St. Clair (Schlegel Villages) through the Sports Park and back to the Patti France Promenade, finishing once again at the SportsPlex.

The event raised $4,000 for KidSport Windsor, a local charity that helps underprivileged youth and families afford the opportunity to participate in sport and recreation activities here in our community.

"We were also incredibly pleased to continue to provide two $500 scholarships for our Sport and Recreation Management students," said Prof. Kevin Corriveau, the coordinator of the program. "We also created one new scholarship of $1,000 for one of our first-year students, Asher Lavoie, thanks to a very generous donation from longtime friends of the Sport and Recreation Management Program, Liz and David Campbell who have now established this annual scholarship."

It was also a day of collaboration from various schools within St. Clair College.

Children's activities were provided by students from the College's Early Childhood Education program, two sets of St. Clair College branded cornhole boards awarded as prizes made by students from the Woodworking Technician program and volunteers from Fitness and Health Promotion were on site to assist with warm-ups and stretching.

Students from the Culinary Management program once again provided a uniquely designed St. Clair College cookie for all participants.

In a special partnership, the Windsor Spitfires provided the first 300 race registrants two free red zone tickets to a regular season home game in October 2025.

The St. Clair College Alumni Association was the presenting partner for the event in cooperation with the SSAA, SRC and many other local community partners.
