St. Clair College staff and students have been nominated for the 5th annual WE-Tech Alliance Tech Awards.

St. Clair College staff and students have been nominated for the 5th annual WE-Tech Alliance Tech Awards.

The 2022 Tech Awards are a fun, informal way of celebrating technology innovators, in all stages and sectors, for their achievements and success in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.

The Tech Awards are part of the fifth annual TeCK Week YQG, which will take place virtually from March 21-27, 2022.

The nominees from St. Clair College are:

  • St. Clair College IT Department -Tech Team of the Year
  • Shaun Byrne - Tech Educator of the Year
  • Angie Lopez – Tech Student / Young Professional
  • Cristina Tymczak - Tech Student / Young Professional.

Byrne is the director of the Esports varsity team and a faculty member in the Esports Administration and Entrepreneurship program.

Lopez, a student in the Biomedical Engineering Technology program, is the Vice President of the school's Student Representative Council and Vice President of the school's STEM Club.

Tymczak, a student in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology - Robotics program, is President of the school's STEM Club.

Voting for the Tech Awards is now open, through to February 20.

Tech Award Winners will be announced publicly via social media channels during WE-Tech’s  5th annual TeCK Week YQG, which will take place virtually from March 21-27, 2022.
