First Winter Convocation Draws Hundreds
More than 600 graduates showed up Jan. 29 at the WFCU Centre for St. Clair College's first winter convocation.
There were about 1,000 eligible graduates from Business, Community Studies, Engineering Technologies, Health Sciences, Media, Art and Design, Nursing, Skilled Trades and from the college's Toronto campus, ACE Acumen Academy.
Province Issues Statement on Coronavirus
Colleges were involved in a call with the Ministry of Health on January 28, 2020. It was communicated that the 2019 Novel Coronavirus is not a pandemic; it is an evolving International health issue that they continue to monitor. St. Clair College is working closely with local Public Health Agencies for direction on protocols required to address the coronavirus if action becomes necessary.

Today, The Hon. Monte McNaughton Ontario's Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development toured our St. Clair College Skilled Trades Regional Training Centre on St. Etienne Boulevard in East Windsor. This was the Minister's first visit to our centre.

College's R & D Department Helps Mold Industry Test CAD Files With New Software
A project that involved a three-way partnership between St. Clair College, Longterm Technology Services Inc., a technology-based company in London, and the mold making industry has resulted in a win for all three parties.
The project involved computer-aided design (CAD) models, which are used in the mold industry in order to design and visualize parts prior to manufacturing.
S'Aints Concert Raises Largest Donation Yet
Area food banks got a big boost just in time for the holidays with a $75,267 donation from ticket sales for the Sleighing Hunger concert – the largest amount raised to date.
St. Clair College partnered with Caesars Windsor and local band The S'Aints six years ago to raise money for area food banks at the annual Sleighing Hunger holiday concert at the Colosseum.

President Patti France was out early Thursday morning, handing out the annual edition of the Windsor Goodfellows newspaper, which helps raise funds to purchase Christmas baskets for families in need during the holidays and throughout the year.
Marketing Students Bring Home Hardware
Five third-year marketing students brought home medals from the recent Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition, besting hundreds of students from much larger institutions.
"We like to call it the Marketing Olympics for Colleges," said Nicole Rourke, a marketing professor and long-time coach for the students who participate in the annual competition.

St. Clair College Graphic Design student Megan Saxton's clean and simple illustration of a Gingerbread House was the winning entry for the cover of The S'Aints' 2019 CD to commemorate the band's upcoming holiday concert.
