A St. Clair College data analytics professor has been awarded one of 21 research grants by the newly formed WE-SPARK Health Institute, a collaboration of local health and education institutions to foster research projects.

A “simple little device” to help with breathing awaits Health Canada approval, following a collaboration between Automation Solutions Provider, CenterLine (Windsor) Limited and St. Clair College, in response to a potential shortage of ventilators during the COVID-19 crisis.

Free virtual workshops available at Genesis Centre
The Genesis Entrepreneurship Centre at St. Clair College is offering free virtual workshops for everyone in the community.
The range of workshops includes skills development such as presentation, communication and networking skills, and others that focus specifically on helping individuals start and grow a business.
Spring convocation moved to October
Spring Convocation ceremonies that were scheduled for June 8-13 have been cancelled, St. Clair College announced Monday.
The graduates who were eligible to graduate in the Spring will be invited to participate in the Fall Convocation ceremonies in October.
Enactus team wins big in regional competition
St. Clair College’s nascent Enactus team won the top prize in one category, and placed second and third in two others, in the 2020 Enactus Canada Regional Exposition involving more than 70 teams from across the country.
HealthPlex to become Chatham-Kent Health Alliance field hospital
Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has reached an agreement with St. Clair College, HealthPlex, Chatham Campus to turn the facility into the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Field Hospital for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. The agreement provides CKHA with the additional space it needs to accommodate in case there is a surge of patients with COVID-19.
Local Post-Secondary Institutions, Alumni and Students Team to Donate to COVID Battle
Student government groups and alumni associations from St. Clair College and the University of Windsor have partnered with their institutions to donate $100,000 in support efforts for front-line healthcare workers at Windsor Regional Hospital.
