Windsor, Ontario - To help ease the pressure on the local rental housing market, and to provide a secure welcome to international students, St. Clair College recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fairmount Properties to accommodate up to 400 students annually within “Global Village Windsor” on the site of the former Salvation Army Grace Hospital in downtown Windsor.

Students from Corpus Christi Catholic Middle School and FJ Brennan Catholic High School celebrated the end of a unique 5-week pilot project on Friday, where they teamed up with local organizations like Invest Windsor-Essex, WE-Tech Alliance, and others. The goal was to make science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and robotics more exciting for youth.

The Centre for Campus Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH) successfully brought together post-secondary institutions and community organizations, to champion campus mental health. Attendees utilized the unique platform to showcase impactful initiatives, paving the way for potential partnerships and exploring new avenues for growth and synergy.

 

Today, Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex (HFHWE) proudly announces the dedication of the St. Clair College Youth Mentorship Hub. This event, scheduled for Tuesday, November 7th, at 11:00am, marked a pivotal moment in community collaboration, aimed at empowering the next generation.

On Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, at the WFCU centre St. Clair College hosted the first annual St. Clair College Night at the Windsor Spitfires.

During the event Michael Silvaggi VP, Academic & Registrar had the pleasure of dropping the puck with our mascot Griff to start the hockey game against rival Kitchener Rangers.

For the past four years, the PSI/Police Foundations Society has been an active participant in the "Adopt a Street" clean-up program with the City of Windsor.

The evening's gala dinner and program included a tribute video to her work at the college and in the community.

Attending the gala were Patti's family members, College staff past and present, alumni, community leaders and businesses.

All of the St. Clair College family congratulate President France on this recognition.

St. Clair College Board of Governors is proud to announce the appointment of Michael Silvaggi as its 7th President. This appointment follows an extensive nationwide search conducted by the executive recruitment company of Odgers Berndtson, and it has been unanimously approved by the Board of Governors.

Michael Silvaggi will officially assume his new role as President on June 1, 2024.

St Clair College President Patti France participated in the weekend celebration and the unveiling of the Rosalie Trombley commemorative statue at the foot of McDougall Ave. above Windsor's Festival Plaza. President France joined Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens, Rosalie Trombley's family and Canadian Music Hall of Fame recording artist Burton Cummings for this special event.

Members of the student executive boards of Student Representative Council (SRC) and Student Saints Athletic Association (SSAA) went to General Brock School this week to participate in the Summer Eats for Kids program. The College and our students have participated in this program for three years.
