Gaming, robotics, cosplay and cards will all be offered under one roof later this month at the second annual 'The Summoning' Collectors and Esports Convention at St. Clair College.
The convention – organized by the owners of CG Realm and Hidden Trail Experiences – will be hosted by St. Clair College and the Student Representative Council at the College's Esports Nexus Arena starting at 10 a.m. on Aug. 23, 2025.
With about 600 visitors expected, attendees of all ages will have access to a day full of gaming, competition of all sorts, merchandise vendors, Lego robotics, cosplay contests and more.
"People should come to the Summoning for our three pillars: Community, competition and collectability," said Jeremy Richard, the event co-chair and owner of CG Realm. "We're a collecting con, tied in with the esports video games, so we merge the two together and we bring it to life."
New to the event this year is the addition of FIRST Robotics, a global community preparing young people for the future, using robots. Guests will be able to participate in a robot coding challenge and meet some of the robots.
"We've hosted over 50 events this year alone at the St. Clair College Esports Nexus, and we're excited to keep that momentum going with The Summoning, which is a true celebration of Windsor's gaming and pop culture community," said Valerie Shih-Lau, the Marketing and Events Manager for the St. Clair Saints. "Supporting community-built events like this is part of our mission and we're thrilled to welcome The Summoning back for an even bigger second year."
Proceeds from the event will also be directed into a $500 scholarship for a student in the College's Esports Administration and Entrepreneurship program.
"The Summoning represents everything we love about the Windsor gaming and pop culture community: collaboration, creativity, and competition. We're proud to continue building exciting opportunities like this that bring people together," Shih-Lau added.
This event is built by the community, for the community, with support from: St. Clair College, St. Clair Saints, CG Realm, St. Clair SRC, Hidden Trail, and more.
Tickets are available for purchase at www.stclairsaints.ca/tsc25 and range from $10.00 + HST for early bird registration and $15.00 + HST at the door. Kids 10 years and under get free entry if accompanied with a regular admission ticket holder.
