COURSE PRE-REQUISITES:
NOTE: If you do not meet the course pre-requisites, you will not meet the eligibility criteria to write the CPTG examination.
- Must be a high school graduate
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be proficient in reading and writing in English
- Must be currently working in, or have prior experience in, the healthcare industry
- Students currently enrolled in college or university-level health sciences programs are also eligible
HYBRID LEARNING - 2 weeks online & 2 weeks In-Person lab learning. This intensive Micro credential Phlebotomy Workshop will aid in preparing you for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician credential offered by the Canadian Phlebotomy Technician Group Inc. (CPTG).
Acquire the competencies necessary for drawing blood samples by venipuncture and various specimen collection techniques. This workshop will consist of a combination of asynchronous theory training and in-person hands-on lab learning. This program is designed for students in health sciences and nursing, as well as medical professionals looking to gain or refresh their skills in phlebotomy.
Upon completion of this course, students will be required to register with CPTG to schedule the certification exam.
NOTE: The exam cost is additional and to be paid to CPTG.
