COURSE PRE-REQUISITES:
This course is intended for:
- Individuals currently working in or with prior experience in the healthcare industry
- Students enrolled in health sciences programs at the college or university level
- Must be a high school graduate and/or 18 years old or older to register
HYBRID LEARNING - 2 weeks online & 2 weeks In-Person lab learning. This intensive Micro credential Phlebotomy Workshop will aid in preparing you for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician credential offered by the Canadian Phlebotomy Technician Group Inc. (CPTG).
Acquire the competencies necessary for drawing blood samples by venipuncture and various specimen collection techniques. This workshop will consist of a combination of asynchronous theory training and in-person hands-on lab learning. This program is designed for students in health sciences and nursing, as well as medical professionals looking to gain or refresh their skills in phlebotomy.
Upon completion of this course, students will be required to register with CPTG to schedule the certification exam.
NOTE: The exam cost is additional and to be paid to CPTG.
