This course will focus primarily on Network and Computer security, with continued emphasis on the Microsoft family of Network and Operating System products. Through the use of various security tools and software, students will gain an in-depth understanding of the various security standards and methodologies employed within the computing industry. Detecting and protecting against intrusion, working with various encryption techniques and cryptography, firewall, e-mail, Web, and file transfer security constitute a majority of the course.
