A beginning course in medical machine transcription in which students are introduced to typical medical reports which will correlate as much as possible with the topics being covered in the Medical Terminology I course. Emphasis will be placed on spelling and the application of transcription techniques learned in the Medical Typing and Theory Techniques course. Students will be exposed to a variety of accents in the dictation.
