In this course the students will learn how to: find the derivative of algebraic, trigonometric, logarithmic, and exponential functions; apply the derivative to solve problems related to tangents and normals, maximum-minimum points, related rates, curve sketching, and curvilinear motion; use Newton's Method for solving equations; use the trigonometric identities, sum-difference formulas and double angle formulas in order to simplify trigonometric expressions and to solve trigonometric equations.
