This course introduces learners to the practical use of artificial intelligence (Al) in small business environments. Learners will explore how Al tools can leverage workflows, enhance human and Al decision-making, and reduce operational stress in a rapidly evolving marketplace. Through hands-on activities, learners will apply Al to real-world business challenges such as drafting communications, planning social media, analyzing finances, and responding to customer inquiries. Emphasis is placed on selecting the right tool for the task and using it responsibly and effectively. Learners will develop their custom AI adoption plan after completion of this course and apply it immediately to their business.
It is strongly recommended that students have a mastery of competencies usually obtained by completing AI Prompt Engineering (ONT AI1), followed by Agentic AI (ONT AI2), before proceeding with other occupation-specific courses in the series: AI for Entrepreneurs, AI for Marketing, AI for Human Resources, AI for Business Analysis.
