Esthetician (Fast Track)

After a long day on the job at Windsor Regional Hospital, Jennifer Piche needs a break.

"It's a very physical job, mostly with our hands," said Piche, who works in Environmental Services at Windsor Regional Hospital's MET Campus in the housekeeping department. "The hospital right now is very busy. They're over occupancy level, and you know, you get sore, you get tired."

Some local moms got the royal treatment at the St. Clair College Student Spa in advance of Mother's Day, proving to be a relaxing experience for many local women, including Angela Maniel.

Students come to St. Clair College to learn a craft and gain employable skills in their field of choice.

But during their studies, students regularly get an opportunity to hone their vocational skills on a real-life project, which was the case for the recent re-branding of the St. Clair College Student Spa.

Being a patient in a palliative care hospital setting typically signals end-of-life treatments, pain management and an uncertain future.

Because of that, visiting a loved one in palliative care is an emotional time, an experience Sofia Fowler experienced firsthand during her grandfather’s final months.

In 2020, we had realized that we both have a deep love for and desire to help people improve their lives and make them happy. We are extremely passionate about healthy living and helping others achieve their goals as well. To accomplish this, we began our journey by taking the Esthetics Program at St. Clair College in September of 2021.
