What Does This Support?

Fundraising during this week supports a number of United Way initiatives related to education and food insecurity in the communities of Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.

On Track on Campus is United Way Windsor-Essex's follow-up support program for graduates of the On Track to Success initiative. It helps young people transition into post-secondary education by providing continued coaching, mentorship, and access to campus-specific resources so students can stay enrolled and thrive during their first year of college or university. This support increases the likelihood that students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds complete their post-secondary studies and build successful futures.

There are currently 66 On Track on Campus Students enrolled at St. Clair College, and 26 are first year students. 38 students have graduated from St. Clair College through this program.

The School Lunch Pilot provides free, nutritious meals to students in West Windsor schools, helping reduce food insecurity and support learning. By ensuring children have access to healthy food during the school day, the program improves focus, well-being, and readiness to learn while strengthening community partnerships.

There have been 47,000 School Lunches delivered this year, largely facilitated by the St. Clair College partnership with United Way.

Please consider giving during this campaign to support young people in this community.
