Job hunters set to graduate and employers hungry for talent were put together in a room at St. Clair College for the annual Business and Information Technology Career Fair at St. Clair College.

A dozen businesses from the Windsor-Essex region set up booths at the Zekelman School of Business student lounge, flooded with students eager to secure work post-graduation.

"I would say today was a big success. We had a lot of interest in our booth, and it's really great to meet local talent," said Alana O'Neill, Talent Acquisition Partner, TD Bank. "A lot of people are going to be graduating in the next few weeks, so hopefully we can connect them with the job with TD."

O'Neill said students are looking for positions which offer growth opportunities and most of their candidates for jobs in marketing and sales don't need previous banking experience.

"We spoke with a lot of people who have that sales experience, and really a lot of people who are looking for growth, and that's what we're looking forward to," O'Neill said.

Justine McKnight, a Recruiting Coordinator for Brookstone, said the event was a huge success, with 10 interviews already lined up with prospective candidates who linked up at the career fair.

"I'm pretty impressed. The quality of students has been good, with some good chats, and looking forward to some of the interviews we already have booked," McKnight said. "College graduates are hungry, they want to work, and they want to make money."

Cody Brown, a Career Services Officer at St. Clair College, said employers keep coming back because the career fairs help match employers with soon-to-be graduates.

"They come back because of that quality of student and the quality of education that we're delivering," said Bown. "We're giving these students the sort of opportunities that kickstart their careers."

"We really try and get a diverse pool of employers to try and give as many opportunities for students as we can," Brown said. "You may not know what sort of jobs are out there, and this is a very important part of the exploratory aspect for the students."
