The Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope helped make Christmas memories for hundreds of people at the annual Christmas Community Dinner at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts.
The special gathering brought together the community to share a free, delicious holiday meal, festive music and an evening filled with warmth and welcome on Dec. 10, 2025.
The dinner, served with dignity and care by more than 100 volunteers, offered joy, connection and a sense of hope to some of the region's less fortunate during the holiday season.
Sponsored by St. Clair Alumni, College staff supported the event by volunteering to cook and serve roughly 800 people who came out for the event.
"We welcomed our community to a very special night of delicious food, beautiful music, wonderful company," said Jason Linton, Executive Director of the Windsor Centre of Hope, who noted not everyone has family to spend time with over the holidays, so this is a chance to provide a meal with good company.
"St. Clair Alumni is always looking for ways to support the entire community, especially those who need it most," said Joe D'Angela, Senior Director of the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts, Advancement and Campus Partnerships. "It warms me inside to see the look of appreciation on our guest's faces, knowing people in our community care."
"It also makes me proud to see so many volunteers from St. Clair College answer the call and give up their time to bring happiness to others," D'Angela said.
"This is emblematic of the holiday season, where Saints put community first."
