Members of Saints Nation are being asked to put their school spirit on full display this Thursday, Oct. 16 by 'Packing the Park' for the Ontario Collegiate Athletic Association (OCAA) Baseball playoffs.
The OCAA playoffs are being hosted at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh, Ont. from Oct. 16 to 18, 2025, where the Saints Men's Baseball team is looking to win its fifth consecutive banner.
The Saints Student Athletic Association (SSAA) will be sending a bus from Main Windsor Campus to the ball diamond for Thursday night's opening game at 7 p.m. against the Sheridan Bruins, free of charge for students.
"Seeing our students travel to support our varsity teams is truly incredible and shows the immense pride St. Clair College students have for their institution," said Christian Seguin, the Executive Director of the SSAA.
'Pack the Park' is part of a bigger initiative, called Saints on the Road, where the SSAA brings the home crowd to away games as a way of creating a home environment for travelling Saints varsity teams.
"This is a great initiative to involve our students that have a love for sports by offering them the opportunity to travel and support various Saints teams," said Seguin, who came up with the idea during his final year of college when he was the SSAA president.
"I was inspired by seeing videos online from various American high school basketball games that showed competing student sections, chanting and supporting their respective squad," he recalled. "The energy in those videos was truly unmatched and added another layer to the game being played, and I really just wanted to recreate that type of atmosphere for our Saints athletes and students."
The SSAA has been running Saints on the Road for four years and always fills at least one bus per event.
"We are extremely proud to offer our student body a wide array of initiatives and these bus trips are just another example of the different athletic services the SSAA provides to our incredible students," Seguin said.

The bus leaves from the SportsPlex at St. Clair's Main Windsor Campus at 5:30 p.m. ahead of the 7 p.m. start time and returns to the SportsPlex after the game.
The SSAA also has Saints on the Road buses booked for the following sports and dates:
- Wednesday Oct. 22: Basketball vs. Fanshawe @ Glen Johnston Athletic Centre in London, Ont. 3:30 p.m. departure from SportsPlex.
- Saturday Jan. 31: Volleyball vs. Redeemer @ Redeemer University in Hamilton, Ont. 9:30 a.m. departure from SportsPlex
Seguin said more dates could be added if more Saints teams reach the OCAA Final 4, so stay tuned for updates.
