(Toronto, Ontario) – Cassie Nicholas of the St. Clair women’s soccer team was named an OCAA All-Star on Wednesday night at the OCAA Championship Awards Banquet.
Nicholas, from Windsor, is in her third year with the Saints and is a graduate of Holy Names. She scored 5 goals in 11 games played despite playing some limited minutes due to a couple of nagging injuries.
The St. Clair women finished the season in 4th place in the tough OCAA West Division with a record of 3-5-3. The Saints qualified for the playoffs and upset the heavily favoured Sheridan Bruins on Saturday by a score 2-1 with Cassie scoring the winning goal. St. Clair will face the top ranked Humber Hawks tonight at 7 pm in their quarter-final match.
