As part of an extracurricular initiative, students in the Architectural Technology program have undertaken a study of Seminole Street to gain a deeper understanding of infill development and its role in shaping neighbourhood culture. Their work explores key components of development, including building form, policy, land use, architecture, street design, and housing. Using this research, the students aim to develop a thoughtful proposal that enhances the surrounding community.
The Windsor Region Society of Architects (WRSA), along with several other key community partners such as the Michigan Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism (MICNU), have been guiding the students throughout the process and are mentoring the development of a student solution.
It's in the spirit of community collaboration that we are reaching out to you to ask if you would kindly assist by helping us promote a short survey tied to the project, "I Wish We Had" (Seminole Street). The survey consists of four brief questions designed to help the students better understand the neighbourhood, its needs, priorities, and aspirations.
