Current Students (Winter, 2024 Semester)

This is a reminder to all Winter 2024 students that your three mandatory training modules must be completed by March 31st, 2024. The training modules are on your Blackboard page. You should also be able to see whether you have completed the training if you are uncertain.

The modules are each 20-30 minutes in length and include the following:

  1. Emergency Response for Students
  2. Consent and Sexual Misconduct Reporting
  3. Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities

Failure to complete these modules will result in possibly being withdrawn from your next semester. Please complete these very important training modules before March 31st in order to be enrolled in your next semester.

New Students (Spring, 2024 Semester)

St. Clair College including, Ace Acumen Academy is asking students who are new to St. Clair College in Spring 2024, to complete three (3) training modules. It is our hope that these modules will help you, as a student, in understanding your responsibilities and rights as found in College policies, and the institutional resources available to keep you safe.

The modules are:

  1. Emergency Response for Students
  2. Consent and Sexual Misconduct Reporting
  3. Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities

Each module will be posted on your Blackboard site and will take approximately twenty (20) minutes to complete. Of course, more time is allowed if needed.

The modules will be available starting April 1, 2024, on your Blackboard page. You will have until June 30, 2024, to complete all three training modules. We encourage all students to take this training before school starts.

Failure to complete these modules could result in being withdrawn from your next semester.

Where will I find the Emergency Response training module?

It will appear as a course on Blackboard.


What is the Emergency Response Training Module

It is a quick training course that will help you understand what to do in various emergencies and what resources the College has in place to communicate with you about emergencies.


What is the deadline for completion of this training module?

All students registered in Winter, 2024 must complete the training by March 31, 2024.

New students registered in Spring 2024 must complete the training by June 30, 2024.


How much time will this module take?

The training module will take no longer than 20 minutes.  There is a short video on what to do during an Active Attacker event embedded in the module.


Why has the College made this training module mandatory?

The College believes that all students should know what to do in emergency situations and what resources are available to you to reach out to emergency response personnel and how we will communicate with you. This training module ensures that all students take time to review and understand this critically valuable information.


How do I find out more information about emergency response at the College?

You can find additional information on the postings in each classroom, by talking to Security or by visiting Campus Security & Emergency Services.


Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Training FAQ

What is the Sexual Violence Prevention & Response training?

This training was developed in conjunction with the passing of Bill 26, Strengthening Post-secondary Institutions and Students Act, 2022. Upon completion of the training, participants will learn about the dynamics of consent, College policies on Sexual Violence and Sexual Misconduct, and supports available to College students and staff.

Academic Integrity FAQ

Academic Integrity Module

All students registered at St. Clair College must complete a module called the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities (also known as "Learn It to Earn It").

Where will I find the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities Module?

It will appear as a course on Blackboard.


What is the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities Module?

The Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities Module is designed to help students understand the importance of academic integrity and student conduct at St. Clair College. Learning this material helps students to avoid academic and non-academic misconduct.


How do I register for the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities Module?

You do not need to register for this module. You will be automatically enrolled in the module as a "course" in Blackboard (Bb).


What is the deadline for the completion of the module?

All students registered in Winter 2024 must complete the training by March 31, 2024.

New students registered in Spring 2024 must complete the training by June 30, 2024.

Note: Completion of the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities Module is mandatory. Completion of the module is monitored by St. Clair College's Centre for Academic Excellence and Quality Assurance.


How much time will I need to complete the module?

The module will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.


Is the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities Module the same thing as the Academic Integrity Workshop?

No. The Academic Integrity Workshop (AIW) is a requirement for students who have received an academic or administrative penalty for academic misconduct. The Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities Module has been designed to help students avoid that from happening!
