This course will introduce the student to conventional rules for orthographic, isometric, and oblique representations found on blueprints commonly used in welding trades. Basic understanding of orthographic representations is followed by dimensioning systems, tolerances, and their application to weldment prints. Emphasis is placed on weldment prints covering such topics as: Bill of materials, structural shapes and preparation, their dimensions, weld symbol interpretation, and general and local notes to enable the student to cut, and prepare materials, layout, and complete weldments to specifications.
