This introductory course to Tourism and Hospitality looks at the industry from three perspectives. The first will address the common components of tourism and hospitality, such as theories, motivation, planning, and development. The second aspect will take a closer look at each of the eight tourism sectors: transportation, accommodation, food and beverage, attractions, events, adventure tourism and outdoor recreation, travel services and tourism services. Lastly, the course will focus on the issues, challenges and the future of tourism and hospitality.
