Course content prepares students for the field education program component. Students explore a range of topics relevant to beginning social service worker practice in agency settings. Knowledge of OCSWSSW and MTCU standards, core competencies, professional values, ethics, conduct, practices, roles and responsibilities, field placement expectations, agency and community contexts, social problems, and fundamental skills for working with clients, peers, supervisors and others are emphasized.
