Course content explores the unique configuration of theories, ethics, values, legislation and standards that define and guide the Social Work and Social Service Worker professions. Content and themes relate to the history, scope, roles, responsibilities, and professional domains of Social Work and Social Service Work. Students explore the social welfare delivery system from historical and contemporary perspectives. Social welfare needs and services pertaining to older adults are emphasized.
