Students perform advanced cardio/respiratory diagnostic and therapeutic skills via use protocols and application of evidence based medicine in a simulated setting including medication and oxygen administration, suction therapy, intubation and management of advanced airways and patient transport. Students analyze data from a variety of sources to determine and then perform the appropriate intervention. Concepts pertaining to professionalism, communication, documentation, problem solving and health and safety, continue to be emphasized and developed.
