Students will examine the respiratory therapy profession from a variety of perspectives that consider the legislative and regulatory obligations, as well as the ethical and psychosocial implications of being a healthcare provider. Time is also spent exploring the required skills and concepts related to effective collaboration and communication in an interprofessional healthcare team and the organizational/employer issues following the most current version of the National Competencies Framework.
