This course provides students the business aspect of a paralegal practice from business planning and start-up. Students explore the factors involved in business start-up and promotion as well as any limitations established by the Law Society within the Paralegal Rules of Conduct. The course provides students with practical strategies to manage a business. This is the third and final course within the Paralegal Skills & Practice Management series which utilizes office simulation as a mechanism to enhance practical application of material learned. Obligations regarding insurance and reporting requirements to law society are fully examined within the context of practical application.
