Intensified scene-study, highly detailed monologue work, and a continuation of professional audition techniques will be delivered in studio settings. The importance of voice and text integration continues to be stressed as ongoing exercises prepare the learner for performance. An in depth exploration of Shakespeare through reading, discussion and performance of selected plays, scenes and monologues from each of the various genres of comedy, history, tragedy and romance. Students will continue to develop text analysis, research skills, and a disciplined reading schedule. A practical application of Voice and Text will be integrated into the studies of challenging classical texts. Weekly private acting and voice tutorials will support the students' ongoing development in the field of classical theatre. Students will select material for their tutorials from a range recommended classical texts.
