Voice III is an intermediate course designed to deepen the student's understanding of vocal technique while expanding into the expressive and transformative use of the voice for performance. Students will build upon previous vocal training through in-depth study and application of acoustics breathing resonance vocal onset registration and alignment. Emphasis will be placed on the integration of technique with character development through exploration of dialects accents and vocal transformation. Students will engage in research reflection and practical application through vocal exercises song interpretation and character voice work. An introduction to the International Phonetic Alphabet (I.P.A.) will support dialect study and articulation. This course aims to solidify technical control while expanding the creative potential of the human voice in performance. Individual weekly vocal tutorials will support the students' ongoing work and personal growth.
