The first of two courses which examines the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the human body, as well as related microbiology, with applications for the paramedic field. The topics covered include an in depth study of the following: respiratory and cardiovascular systems, (including cardiac electrophysiology), hematology, central and peripheral nervous systems. The concepts of homeostasis, adaptation, and medical terminology are introduced.
