Introduction To Network Analysis And Design, (Network Design) | St. Clair College
Course Code
MIT642
Course Credit
4

This course will outline the process of analyzing and designing a new network, or designing a network upgrade. There are five distinct phases involved in the design process of a network, of which any or all can be applied to any network. The course will concentrate on the first four phases of the network design process; Requirements Gathering, Traffic Analysis, Logical Design, and Physical Design. The fifth phase, Installation and Maintenance, will not be a focus of the course. Through lecture, students will gain a theoretical understanding of the components of the course. Practical exercises will be used wherever possible to reinforce such learning.
