Professional Practice & Clinical Preparation

This clinical preparation course explores legal and ethical requirements and professional responsibility related to Medical Laboratory Technologists in Canada. Students will examine principles of quality management and workplace challenges demonstrating effective communication and collaborative teamwork. Application of critical thinking, scientific and diagnostic knowledge will be used to investigate, evaluate and problem solve. Clinical scenarios and role playing will develop interpersonal skills such as communication, professionalism, adaptability, cooperation, initiative, and ethical behaviour required in the clinical environment.
