This course provides an introduction of Medical Laboratory Assistants/Technicians and the relationship of Medical Laboratory Professionals with regulated and non-regulated healthcare professionals within the Canadian Healthcare System. The specifics of effective interpersonal skills will include discussions of effective communication, constructive conflict resolution and collaborative team dynamics to maintain professional relationships with colleagues, patients, and healthcare professionals.
