This credited course will emphasize Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Best Management Practices (BMP'S), considering plant health, responsible production, and environmental concerns. It will also introduce candidates to content necessary for Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks Exterminator's Licensing and/or IPM Certifications. The major focus will be on responsible pesticide use, safety, application equipment and the study of common weeds, insect and disease problems affecting ornamental and edible crops. The study of these areas will take place in a lecture and lab setting.
