This course offers the student an exploration into the historical aspects of presentation portfolios from Greek and Roman times through to the present day. The evolution of the portfolio as a means of communication between patron and artist to modern context of contractual documents will be examined. Client needs are explored and developed through role-playing. Instruction will be given with the assembly of a contemporary portfolio as an important component of a job applicant's presentation material. The portfolio, together with resume development, marketing, presentation, media production techniques, distance applications and interview, will be evaluated in terms of the positive image created.
