Because of the importance practical work experience plays in the success of a professional in hospitality, this course prepares the student for success in school and in the workplace. Students will create career promotional items, including a resume and portfolio, in order to represent their experiences in a clear and professional manner for potential placement host sites and employers. Students will be taught and assessed the computer literacy skills necessary for the preparation of the employment-related documents. In addition, students will build on their experience by participating in various hospitality volunteer events.
