In this course, students will study the means by which systems are wired and as such they will run conductors to control panel I/O devices, to programmable controllers, and terminal blocks using the proper tools and proper guidelines. In this course, students are expected to create electromechanical drawings and understand how to layout an electrical panel. Students will learn how to test and troubleshoot their wiring through the use of programmable controllers and measurement., Students will learn how to punch holes and mounting input and output devices and to follow verbal and written procedures for a given electrical fabrication project. As well, each student will learn how to abide by safety rules (particularly wearing safety glasses) and following safe shop practices, including cleanup.
