This course focuses on the complex needs of students who have multiple exceptionalities including neurological, musculoskeletal and health concerns. Health, social and personal needs are discussed. Personal care of students with complex exceptionalities is a focus as well as basic understanding of related medications and their consequences on performance and care. Safety, promoting dignity and fostering independence within a school setting are discussed.
