This course examines typical development of the school-aged child and the adolescent with an emphasis on planning developmentally appropriate practices for children in Junior and Senior Kindergarten and extended day programs. The role of the Early Childhood Educator in working collaboratively with community partners in the elementary school system will also be discussed.
