Clinical Practice I

This course focuses on the development of foundational clinical competence in dental assisting through simulated clinical experiences. Students apply theoretical knowledge to competently perform general operatory and infection control procedures and demonstrate intraoral competencies consistent with Level II Dental Assisting standards in Ontario. Emphasis is placed on patient-centered care safety professionalism and the consistent demonstration of clinical competence in accordance with current standards of practice.
