This course is designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the role of legislated workplace safety in society and its impact on the economy and our institutions. This course will examine the historical and social events that have formed today's labour laws and the impact of present day legislation on employees, employers, financial loss, loss prevention and enforcement. Safety laws will be compared from province to province and on a global scale.
