Practical training and experience in the areas of benchwork, machine tool operations on lathes, CNC mills, drill presses, grinders, band saws, and related equipment. Emphasis is placed on gaining trade skills on metal working machines combined with minimal hand tool application. The student will perform machining operations to produce selected projects. Emphasis is also placed upon students' learning and applying principles of safety, organization of work, and professional conduct in a workshop setting.
