This course is a continuation of Building Services 1 with emphasis on the relationship of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial, institutional and industrial buildings. Students will develop an understanding, of how architecture affects the size and selection of an HVAC systems and how they control the building environment. The plumbing and fire protection systems will also be discussed and referenced to the Ontario Building Code. Lastly, the electrical component will focus on the theory of lighting, the equipment and systems used, and lighting calculations with their implementation into design.
