Apprentices will complete a major project in the machine shop using the available equipment, such as the engine lathe, vertical mill and surface grinder along with various saws and drill presses. The practical layout of machine assemblies using mechanical, optical and laser equipment will be practiced. Proper methods of equipment assembly and disassembly and the procedures for part identification will be investigated.
