Students are introduced to Long Term Care Facilities and the governing bodies. They learn about provincial formularies and government supply medications. Different distribution systems pertaining to LTC facilities are taught along with packaging, the medications, proper labelling, and preparation of the MARS (medication administration record sheet) for documentation purposes. Accuracy in all areas will be stressed.
