This course is designed to provide a study of the marketing significance of distribution management functions. Techniques of inventory control, warehousing, customer order processing and transportation management will be examined. This course will identify that the interaction of the total distribution system with other elements of the marketing mix are an integral part of the logistics function. Existing distribution management in business such as the Canadian Association of Physical Distribution Management will be examined.
