Fuels II | St. Clair College
Course Code
MPI413
Course Credit
5

This course is a continuing study of the basic electrical and electronic principles and the relationship to fuel systems used on light duty transportation vehicles. Problem solving strategies involving electrical forces will be stressed as fuel delivery problems are commonplace in everyday applications of on/off road vehicles. Use of diagnostic electrical test equipment is a major component of this course. An in-depth study of emissions from the combustion process of fuels and the applications to vehicles used in the transportation field is included. Both analogue and digital amplitudes are integral to the understanding of how electrical/electronic systems function in everyday use to control the fuel trim supplied to the internal combustion engine to reduce emissions and provide the best possible fuel economy.
