This course will introduce students to XML (Extensible Markup Language). Students learn the importance of XML as it relates to the business world, by delving into real-world exercises and case studies. The main topics of the discussion will be:, - Describing Data with XML (Well-Formed documents), - Validating XML (Using DTD's & XML Schemas), - Presenting XML - Applying formatting to an XML document using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), - Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) - Transforming an XML document into another output format.
